Use the camera you prefer. For casino installs we suggest a small, unobtrusive one; partner products ship with a compact, inexpensive 4K camera. Angles as low as 30° work. The rule is simple: if a person can read every card on the stream, Spades AI can too.
2 · Edge device
A palm-sized NVIDIA Jetson at the table processes 20 frames per second. It installs from a USB stick in about 5 minutes, calibrates in under 5 minutes per table, and recalibrates itself if the camera moves. After setup it runs offline, and video stays on the device.
3 · Data
Every round becomes structured data. It feeds an MQTT event stream and HTTP API for your systems, the Spades Display, Excel reports, and a panel with video of every round.

Questions casinos ask us
Do we need new cameras?
No. Spades AI works with the camera you prefer, as long as a person can read every card on the stream. We suggest a small, unobtrusive camera, and angles as low as 30° work.
Does any video or data leave the casino?
No. Everything is processed on the device at the table. After setup it runs offline, and remote support is optional and can be blocked.
How long does installation take?
The device installs from a USB stick in about 5 minutes. Calibration takes under 5 minutes per table and can be copied to identical tables. Updates also come on a USB stick and are always fully offline, designed for air-gapped casino environments.
How do you handle issues?
Full diagnostics reports download to a USB stick at the table. For immediate support, you can open remote access on demand; it is optional and closed the rest of the time.
Which games do you support?
Blackjack, with configurable dealing procedures for each style of play, such as US, European or UK, and configurable side bets. Baccarat and Ultimate Texas Hold'em deployments are in progress.
How accurate is it?
99.3% full-round accuracy: a round counts only if every card in every hand, players and dealer, is recorded correctly. It was measured on randomly sampled live rounds in Swiss casinos.
Does it replace our surveillance team?
No. Spades AI flags rounds and shows the video; your team reviews and decides. Every correction is logged.
Can it connect to our systems or our product?
Yes. It provides an MQTT event stream and an HTTP API, and we have lots of integration experience with big partners.
